Microsoft Office = Hate
I have no clue why Office became such a huge hit with consumers! Why? I am fairly good with Adobe In Design, Illustrator, and Photoshop, AND I CAN’T FIGURE IT OUT! What should be a simple task, such as making a transition is all screwed up. It doesn’t even run smoothly on my computer. WHY? It’s displaying text for Pete’s sake!
Whoever Bill Gates decided to copy this time ultimately SUCKS
The same goes to Steve Jobs, iWork is a FAILURE.
What they need to realise is that people don’t want a new standard every time the software is upgraded! 10pt font? REALLY? The margins are about as wide as popsicle sticks!
What both of them try to do is give you a ‘creative suite’ as though they’re trying to sell to designers. The problem is that they are selling to students that need to type stinkin’ reports, mother that want to send out thank you cards, and dad…well…he can’t figure out the mouse!
Stop emulating design software and make a simple WORD PROCESSOR. It takes 10 seconds to open Word. That is TOO FLIPPIN’ LONG. TextEdit, 1 second. Why? Because it does what I need it to do. So, next time, make a nice efficient Powerpoint application…
